Before i even looked into this assignment, i always viewed Helvetica as this neutral font that makes anything look good. It's not too fancy, and it doesn't look anything at all unprofessional. So i decided to look into the creator behind this marvelous typeface. While doing research on Max Miedinger and Helvetica, i have learned so much that i believe will help me in my near future of Graphic Design studies. I also learned so much about the concept of typography in different countries. The most interesting piece i learned about Helvetica being created in Switzerland, was that the font was focused mainly on the white space behind the letters. If you focus on the shapes that the letters create through the white space, then that's when you see how well this typeface works and brings everything together to look aesthetically pleasing. I am super stoked to learn more about Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and hopefully can create a successful typeface like this one day. Anything is possible.
